Tatum Park (820 – 850 State Highway One, Manakau.)
An hour from Wellington, and south of Levin is Tatum Park, a rural wedding and conference centre. The 32 acres of expansive rural parkland works well for either traditional or contemporary weddings and civil ceremonies.
There are a myriad of ceremony spaces available with an option for either an indoor or outdoor wedding. There’s the chapel that is surrounded by native bush, a summer house that has trees encircling the space, the homestead lawn, or the picturesque Cobham Lounge that has a log fire and plenty of open space.
Tatum Park offers multiple dining area options, too. There’s the main dining room for up to 130, around the bonfire pit, or for smaller numbers in the cosy homestead. The catering, which is done on-site, can be a formal two-course dinner, a less formal buffet, or a gourmet BBQ around the firepit and stage. All of which are made by the head chef who is happy to create a menu tailored to each couple.
Wedding packages are affordable starting at $75 per person. All the details are taken care of—photographers, florists, makeup and reception entertainment. Tatum Park have a few special offers. For any bridal couple having over 100 guests, they will receive a $500 bar tab or there’s a lunchtime package that costs $50 per person plus a 30 percent reduction.
Be sure to take advantage of the honeymoon suite that offers couples a gourmet breakfast in the morning. Out-of-town guests don’t have to leave right after the reception either. Tatum Park has fully serviced accommodation for 160 guests.
