Pencarrow Lodge (Pencarrow Coast Road, Eastbourne)

The lodge prides itself on being a little piece of Paradise. It may just be if your idea of Paradise is rural and coastal with expansive views of Wellington Harbour and Kaikoura Ranges. It’s located in Eastbourne between Pencarrow and Baring Head Lighthouse in Fitzroy Bay, only 30 minutes away from Wellington City.

The lodge, which fits 80 to 100 guests, has timber floors, an open fireplace, and a large deck. There’s a real sense of privacy here. In fact, the only way to Pencarrow Lodge is by hiring a coach bus. Or, if you’re the wedding couple you have the option to make your appearance by arriving in a helicopter.

Pencarrow Lodge is prepared for unpredictable weather offering a contingency plan. In fact, there’s 500 square metres of inside entertainment areas. The catering is done in-house and the menu is inspired by the region’s land and sea. For a buffet style, prices run around $80 per person. The lodge is also fully licensed.

When hiring the venue, the space is yours for eight hours. The price is $1,500 +GST and this also includes seating, linen, table cloths, napkins, cutlery, and staff to serve you.
