Liz gets ready at the Rydges Wellington.
Not even a very shaky Wellington could put a damper on Elizabeth and Gareth’s special day ! Wellington was shaken by a biggie on Friday afternoon, and for a few hours there we were wondering if plans were still going ahead on Saturday for the big day!
We started at the Rydges hotel where Elizabeth and her bridesmaids were getting ready. The odd little shake here and there did make things interesting, but soon forgotten as the time for the ceremony got closer.
Gareth at Old St Pauls.
Lynnette headed off a bit earlier to meet up with Gareth and the boys at the beautiful Old St Paul’s. A very nervous Gareth was waiting for his lovely bride. After a short but lovely ceremony friends and family gathered to say congratulations.

Photos at Botanical gardens.
We headed to the Botanical gardens for some bridal party pictures with only one very specific request from the bride – We have to get a picture with the daffodils – Elizabeth’s favourite flower. The main gates at the Botanical gardens made a perfect background for the bridal car pictures.
Oriental parade photos with Gareth and Liz.
Once again Oriental bay delivered. Dramatic sky’s and an amazing Rainbow ! And the perfect opportunity for Elizabeth to show off her very special daffodil yellow wedding shoes ! Last stop before going back to the Rydges was for a very quick dramatic picture at the Hikitia.
Gareth and Liz finish their wedding at the Rydges Wellington.
We finished the day on the 6th floor of the Rydges with a lovely reception. After the speeches and delicious dinner Gareth and Elizabeth opened the dance floor with a special rehearsed dance.
